Mozilla Firefox - Tuning

Because now the third firefox of mozilla published, we would like to show you how you can make your fox faster!

Then let's start. Write in the address bar of your Mozilla browser "about:config" and click "Enter". Now, a message appears. Click on the button "I will be careful, promised!"

Note: Please change only the values that we call, further changes could harm the stability of your browser!

Let the many settings do not confuse you and use the address bar of the "filter" to filter out the values that you can change.

The following values you should write above the adress bar in the filter and open them with a double-clicking below and change them accordingly:

  • network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 100

  • network.http.pipelining = true

  • network.http.proxy.pipelining = true

Note: The following values you should change with caution, because it can cause problems. The following values are for DSL users, ISDN users should use lower values.

  • network.http.max-connections = 48 (ISDN: 24 oder 16)

  • network.http.max-connections-per-server = 16

  • network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy = 8

  • network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server = 4

You should now load websites faster with Mozilla Firefox. At a fast PC with a fast connection, however, there is hardly a better effect. As for ISDN users should have the desired effect.
