Spybot offers several guards, the so-called Resident Protection (browser guard [SDHelper], immunization guard [Immunize], network monitors, processes and startup guard [TeaTimer]), which in real-time protect you against spyware. Spybot also offers many additional features, such as. IE games, where you can write-lock your hosts file, so that no hijackers can change it anymore. Spybot is one of the fastest spyware scanner, because it is not scanning all the files on all hard drives, but it scans only the paths, where the famous spies will be installed. In Spybot, Safer-Networking has not been respected the surface, but more the protection, which so an anti-spyware scanner should afford.
